Natural language processing for humanitarian action: Opportunities, challenges, and the path toward humanitarian NLP
The goal is to create an NLP system that can identify its limitations and clear up confusion by using questions or hints. The recent proliferation of sensors and Internet-connected devices has led to an explosion in the volume and variety of data generated. As a result, many organizations leverage NLP to make sense of drive better business decisions. NLP models are often complex and difficult to interpret, which can lead to errors in the output. To overcome this challenge, organizations can use techniques such as model debugging and explainable AI. Thirdly, businesses also need to consider the ethical implications of using NLP. With the increasing use of algorithms and artificial intelligence, businesses need to make sure that they are using NLP in an ethical and responsible way. Firstly, businesses need to ensure that their data is of high quality and is properly structured for NLP analysis.

The naïve bayes is preferred because of its performance despite its simplicity (Lewis, 1998)  In Text Categorization two types of models have been used (McCallum and Nigam, 1998) . But in first model a document is generated by first choosing a subset of vocabulary and then using the selected words any number of times, at least once irrespective of order. It takes the information of which words are used in a document irrespective of number of words and order. In second model, a document is generated by choosing a set of word occurrences and arranging them in any order. This model is called multi-nomial model, in addition to the Multi-variate Bernoulli model, it also captures information on how many times a word is used in a document.

Speech recognition is an excellent example of how NLP can be used to improve the customer experience. It is a very common requirement for businesses to have IVR systems in place so that customers can interact with their products and services without having to speak to a live person. NLP is useful for personal assistants such as Alexa, enabling the virtual assistant to understand spoken word commands. It also helps to quickly find relevant information from databases containing millions of documents in seconds. An NLP-generated document accurately summarizes any original text that humans can’t automatically generate. Also, it can carry out repetitive tasks such as analyzing large chunks of data to improve human efficiency.
Emotion Towards the end of the session, Omoju argued that it will be very difficult to incorporate a human element relating to emotion into embodied agents. On the other hand, we might not need agents that actually possess human emotions. Stephan stated that the Turing test, after all, is defined as mimicry and sociopaths—while having no emotions—can fool people into thinking they do. We should thus be able to find solutions that do not need to be embodied and do not have emotions, but understand the emotions of people and help us solve our problems. Indeed, sensor-based emotion recognition systems have continuously improved—and we have also seen improvements in textual emotion detection systems.
These plans may include additional practice activities, assessments, or reading materials designed to support the student’s learning goals. By providing students with these customized learning plans, these models have the potential to help students develop self-directed learning skills and take ownership of their learning process. Finally, the model was tested for language modeling on three different datasets (GigaWord, Project Gutenberg, and WikiText-103). Further, they mapped the performance of their model to traditional approaches for dealing with relational reasoning on compartmentalized information. Ambiguity is one of the major problems of natural language which occurs when one sentence can lead to different interpretations. In case of syntactic level ambiguity, one sentence can be parsed into multiple syntactical forms. Semantic ambiguity occurs when the meaning of words can be misinterpreted.

Research has shown that personalized learning can improve academic achievement, engagement, and self-efficacy (Wu, 2017).
